Presented by Adam Ventura, PhD, BCBA, and Diana Anzures, BCBA
Supervision is supposed to grow future behavior analysts, but too often it feels like a battle with checklists, notes, and endless paperwork. This talk takes you on a different path.
We’ll start with the reality every BCBA knows: supervision eats up hours you don’t have. Then we’ll dive into how AI can change that story, with real examples of tools that shave time off documentation, keep you organized, and free you up for meaningful teaching moments. Finally, we’ll look ahead at what supervision can become when tech does the heavy lifting, more coaching, more connection, less stress.
Walk away with ideas you can use tomorrow to make supervision smoother, smarter, and actually enjoyable again.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Identify common supervision tasks that can be streamlined using AI tools to reduce time spent on paperwork and documentation.
- Describe at least three practical applications of AI that support effective BCBA supervision while maintaining ethical standards.
- Develop strategies for integrating AI into supervision practices to increase time available for coaching, mentorship, and skill development.

In this CEU event, BCBAs Shayna Gaunt and Shira Karpel will explore how to use ACT principles flexibly across parent training, staff supervision, and client support. Learn how to integrate ACT language and strategies to foster psychological flexibility, reduce burnout, strengthen relationships, and promote values-driven action at every level of your practice.
Through practical examples and interactive discussion, you’ll discover how to bring ACT off the page and into real conversations, helping parents navigate tough moments, guiding staff toward professional growth, and supporting clients in building meaningful, lasting change.
Attendees will earn 1 Learning CEU for ACE, BACB, and IBAO certification.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the six core processes of ACT and how they relate to psychological flexibility in different contexts.
- Identify ways to integrate ACT principles into parent coaching, staff supervision, and client interactions.
- Apply ACT-based strategies to enhance motivation, resilience, and values-driven behavior in both personal and professional settings.
