Episode 153: ABA Intake Process

As BCBAs, we know the ABA intake process (including assessments) with our learners can take up a ton of time. Fortunately, there are ways to streamline the process so you don’t have to spend hours on assessments. How things appear to be on paper isn’t always how they are in reality. It’s crucial to approach situations with clinical judgment and a focus on relationship building. Incorporating trust into your ABA intake process is essential.

Here, we discuss our streamlined intake process, starting with our first interactions with a new client. We also discuss how to assess a learner’s skill level and profile, how to use play to conduct assessments, and how to troubleshoot when things don’t always go by the book.

Starting in June, we’re hosting a series of CEUs on programming for progress.  We will start with explaining a streamlined intake and assessment process.
